The sequence of processing is 1. Basic profile calculation - see Multi-Function Profile 2. Post Function processing - see Post Functions 3. Post-Processing Intermediate Profile ResultsIt is possible to view the stage 2 results by turning OFF post-processing by selecting Post-OFF.    Turning off Post-processing does not delete or change any post-processing configuration that has taken place.Calculation FailuresPost-processing can easily cause a Multi-Function Profile calculation to fail.  The flexibility of the processing means that it is easy to make a configuration error that prevents the post-processing from being calculated.  It is recommended to add post-processing to multi-function profiles (MFPs) in stages and to save intermediate stages as temporary reports until the desired result is achieved The following post-processing options are available: - **AddExtrapolated** - Creates a set of values with a consistent gradient between the first and last row of the specified column - **AddForecast** - Calculates average for a specified range and extends it out over a specified number of rows - **ColumnMath** - Allows new columns to be added to the result set by applying expressions to existing result set column - **Cumulate** - Calculates a running total on data created by raw multi-function profile or data added during post-processing - **FormatDateColulm** - Modifies the specified Date Column to display in a specific format - **InsertDates** - Inserts missing dates (and rows) into a time-based result set or extends result set back or forwards in time (profiles only) - **MovingAverage** - Calculates a moving average across a configurable number of rows ### Using Post-Processing Access the post-process dialog via the settings button: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/73b6469b-c1e4-47e9-aa65-986c8ebd17ca/Images/Documentation/image-1688380150282.png) This will display the post-processing dialog: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/73b6469b-c1e4-47e9-aa65-986c8ebd17ca/Images/Documentation/image-1688380391276.png) To add a post-processing column, the following steps are required: 1. New 2. Apply 3. Update Source #### New Selecting new will bring up a list of processes. Select a processing type. The Process Configuration Panel will be displayed:![](https://cdn.document360.io/73b6469b-c1e4-47e9-aa65-986c8ebd17ca/Images/Documentation/image-1688380481577.png) (Note: Right-click in the Expression box to select names of available source columns) #### Apply Click Apply to add the new configuration to the processing list. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/73b6469b-c1e4-47e9-aa65-986c8ebd17ca/Images/Documentation/image-1688380744573.png) #### Update Source When all post-processing columns have been added, click Update Source to append the post-processing columns to the calculation. Click X to close the post-process dialog. Note:Post-process columns are not visible in the grid while the report is in design mode. ### Toggle On/Off Use the post process on/off checkbox to turn off post-processing. This will turn off post-processing without requiring the post-processing columns to be removed from the report. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/73b6469b-c1e4-47e9-aa65-986c8ebd17ca/Images/Documentation/image-1688732614268.png)
