# Search Solution

The Advanced Search solution can be accessed from the [Project Explorer](/v1/docs/project-explorer-overview) or from **Tools | Search Solution**

It can search in the following areas:

- Names - Searches only in field names (type = field)
- Discretes - Searches within discrete values  (type = fvalue)
- Descriptions - searches within field descriptions
- Metadata - searches within Metadata

If [metadata](/v1/docs/getting-started-categories-and-metadata) has been configured for the system, it is possible to search through those metadata files:

Save and retrieve searches using the toolbar:
