QQ - Why is the record count in the tree one less than the count in the hotbar?

Record counts shown in the project explorer Database Tree are always one more than the record counts shown in the HotBar.   This is by design as record 0 is reserved and so the Database Tree Table Count is always +1 on the actual record count:
